In many different locations in Wales…………… We recently enjoyed a very pleasant week at the Y Bwthyn Cottage with Ron and Deilwen Breese, who also operate a nice Bed and Breakfast Operation at Gogarth Hall Farm, Pennal, Machynlleth, Powys ,SY20 9LB. Judging by the smiles and waves goodbye of guests at the B&B the location was popular to reach near by sea side town off Aberdyfi / Aberdovey. It was slightly too far to walk into town for us, so a car was necessary . The roads were unsuitable for my mobility scooter. If wishing to use a mobility scooter we’d suggest some where closer in to Aberdovey. The Y Bwthyn Cottage was generally clean and the facilities were OK, there were minor items that needed repair and a lack of light bulbs, plus we never got to grips with the showers and renamed these ‘trickles’ – the Hot water was a bit hit and miss, but that could have been our operation of it. In general it was a nice location, Deilwen Breese was a pleasant lady, we’d certianly consider staying there again or in the B&B. Of course having taken a small Horizon Hobby Zone Champ to holiday with us, it would be rude not to fly it off the balcony that was situated at the front of the property over the reception and car park area off the B&B. I got this scooter recently A Shoprider Torino Mobility Scooter and I think the braking system is far to noise for modern day scooters, so I thought I`d see what others may think of it I know this problem I have is probably because I have been spoiled by having previous scooters that don`t make any noise when their braking system came on so why should this one. You maybe wondering why I got this scooter if it makes so much noise. Well when you buy scooters like the I one`s I require `large 3 wheel scooters (for my long legs)` not many people want them so retailers don`t keep them in stock and they have to buy them before you can get one to try. So you have to go on the scooter manufacturers reputation that they produce good scooters and Shoprider (Roma) are suppose to be a good manufacturer, so the scooter was paid for in advance and I did get a short test drive before I signed for it and it seemed to be fine, it was not until I gave the scooter a bit longer ride later on that day I found the problem was still there. Anyway I think the noise from its braking system is more than unacceptable it down-right ridicules and something should be done about it. So I thought I would do a video of me testing the scooter at different settings and speeds and put it on my page on Youtube to see what others think of the noise. WHAT DO YOU THINK. The Shoprider Torino is a mobility scooter who’s max is 8mph and must be road taxed (but it`s free). The video is 12.23 minutes long.
