heres a story – i met this girl last weds night, we seemed to hit it off. we grew up in the same state went to the same univ (she graduates next week) and just had a good talk that night. i asked for her # and she input it and called herself…. that night she asked if i was going to happy hour on friday and i said yes… so that day i texted her 2 c if she was stil goin and we met up she was with her friends but she came over to me and talked 1 on 1….we talked where we lived, she asked if i lived alone and asked about my handicap and about my accident ect ect talked about 15-20 mins then her friendspulled her away to leave and go somewhere else……i called her monday night and havent heard back……. im not being pushy i know she busy with marketing projs and end of the year grad stuff but if she sounded sincere why no call back or very least a text
its like a broken record with me
Act as if you have no handicap. I once had a friend that had a purple birthmark all over her face. Her
face was swollen and her parents taught her that being different she will need to take insults with a
grin. We were 17 when we met and all of her life she went about life as if nothing was wrong. People accepted her that way too. She had a wonderful personality and she made many friends.
She died in a car wreck along with her parents. Don’t let this get you down. You are just like the rest of us. We all have handicaps of some sort.
You need to call her or leave her a text message to see if shes talking to her.And when she graduates you need to ask her if she would like to go out for a meal or something.
Stop looking at your condition as a disability(Dis-ability) and start looking at as a challenge and develop confidence, because a guy with confidence whether trapped in a chair or not seems to attract the ladies. I dated a lady that was trapped in her chair but she did wondrous things, and she was very beautiful, she ran the Boston marathon and had started law school, she did this because she believed in herself
