I think that it is a good ideal that there should be a national federal PWD agency that registers and certifies all PWDs to establish the fact that a person is a legitimate Person With Disabilities (PWD).
This national federal PWD agency will maintain two national federal PWD registry lists and will place PWDs either on a national federal PWD registry list for temporary Disabilities or on a national federal PWD registry list for permanent Disabilities.
This national federal PWD agency will give all registered-certified PWDs a federal PWD identification card that states that the PWD is a federal Registered-Certified PWD.
A federal PWD identification card will be required by federal law in order for a PWD to apply for help from federal, state, and local Disability services. (For example: applying for SSI/SSDI, Medicaid/Medicare, state Vocational Rehabilitation services, Handicapped Parking state permit, services from ILC/CIL (Independent Living Center/Center for Independent Living), Disabilities/medical supplies companies, etc, etc, and etc.
There will be a temporary federal PWD identification card for temporary Disabilities and a permanent federal PWD identification card for permanent Disabilities.
A PWD’s physician will submit medical documentation along with an application for a PWD to be a federally registered-certified legitimate Person With Disabilities (PWD).
By having a national federal PWD agency that registers and certifies all PWDs, and by having two national federal PWD registry lists, and by having a federal PWD identification card, it will be almost impossible for fake/pretend PWDs to scam the Social Security Administration (SSA) in getting SSI and/or SSDI including Medicaid and/or Medicare and also scamming the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for a Handicapped Parking Space Permit and also scamming various PWD organizations and etc, etc, and etc.
Another reason in having a national federal PWD agency that registers and certifies all PWDs, and by having two national federal PWD registry lists, and by having a federal PWD identification card, it will make it almost impossible for the A-DPW (Admirers, Devotees, Pretenders, Wannabes) Community to obtain and buy crutches, canes, walkers, wheeled walkers, manual wheelchairs, powerchairs, electric power scooters, Disabilities prosthetics, and other Disabilities related items to enable the A-DPW Community to pretend to be PWDs.
Here are the questions that I want to ask:
1. Are you “For” or “Against” a national federal PWD agency that registers and certifies all PWDs?
2. Are you “For” or “Against” two national federal PWD registry lists (one for temporary Disabilities and another one for permanent Disabilities)?
3. Are you “For” or “Against” a federal PWD identification card (one for temporary Disabilities and another one for permanent Disabilities)?
4. “Why” or “Why Not” for questions #1, #2, #3.
Thank You.

To Music of the Night: What Hitler done was completely different because Hitler had complete different goals. What I am proposing is to federally establish the fact that a person is a legitimate PWD. By being on a national federal PWD registry and having an federal PWD ID card, it will help to weed out FAKE / PRETEND PWDs that try to SCAM the Social Security Administration (SSA) in getting SSI and/or SSDI including Medicaid and/or Medicare and try to SCAM the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for a Handicapped Parking Space Permit and try to SCAM various PWD organizations and etc, etc, and etc.
To gosam777: Yes, all legitimate PWDs will only be unified by being on a national federal PWD Registry. But having a federal PWD ID card will NOT override various PWD programs of having different definitions and qualifications of being Disabled that is set by Medicaid/Medicare, SSI/SSDI, state vocational rehabilitation programs, handicapped parking permits, services from ILC/CIL programs, and etc. Even though a legitimate PWD might have a federal PWD ID card, the PWD will still have to meet various Disabilities programs qualifications of being Disabled. If the PWD does not meet the various Disabilities programs qualifications of being Disabled, they will not receive help even though they have a federal PWD ID card. By having a federal PWD ID card, it will “open up the Disability door” and give the legitimate PWD the legal right to apply for help from various PWD programs while keeping out FAKE/ PRETEND PWDS.
To AvOn: The two examples that you have posted about persons pretending to be Deaf are perfect examples on why there should be a national federal agency that registers and certifies all PWDs and maintaining a PWD Registry and giving a federal PWD identification card to all PWDs. PRETEND/FAKE PWDs would not be able to scam businesses, PWD organizations/agencies, government agencies, and etc and would prevent PRETEND/FAKE PWDs in obtaining and buying crutches, canes, walkers, wheeled walkers, manual wheelchairs, powerchairs, electric power scooters, Disabilities prosthetics, and other Disabilities related items.
To AvOn: I know about one legitimate PWD male that met a FAKE/PRETEND PWD female on the Internet and a romantic relationship developed over the Internet. Later on in the relationship when the legitimate PWD male finally met the FAKE/PRETEND PWD female face to face, the legitimate PWD male discovered that the FAKE/PRETEND PWD female had lied to him about being a legitimate PWD which led the legitimate PWD male immediately ending the romantic relationship permanently between him and the FAKE/PRETEND PWD female. The FAKE/PRETEND PWD female was using a wheelchair and crutches when pretending to be a legitimate PWD. The legitimate PWD male has stated that he wants nothing to do with the A-DPW (Admirers, Devotees, Pretenders, Wannabes) Community.

So my left foot is injured,, and my family is planning to go to the San Diego Zoo tomorrow. I can’t use crutches right now, and one of those walkers where you put one of your knees on it is also out of the question. Do they have some sort of scooters or wheelchairs in San Diego Zoo?

for them at the company’s expense. I always assumed that they had something like MS or some other mobility limiting illness. As it turns out, it’s just because they’re obese. Not that it’s really my business, but….
it came up because I’ve been on crutches with a broken ankle, and the security guy said that if I got tired of hobbling around, they could buy me a scooter. I was shocked, and he said have them just because they’re fat.” I checked it out, and he was right. I still didn’t take him up on it though.

i am trying to help my disabled mother find a mobility scooter that can be driven in the back of a car without the need to take off the battery or fold it. That perhaps could be driven in with a ramp at the rear of the car. She has limited mobility and is not able to use a wheelchair or electric wheelchair. Your help would be so much appreciated if not life changing as it means my mother would finally gain her independence. If you could point me in the direction as to finding a car model and the model of the scooter and would i need to have it road saftey checked? thank you in advance x
